Platter Systems are non-rewinding Film Transports capable of up to 4-1/2 hours (on 52-inch diameter platters) of continuous 35mm film presentation. Since there is no rewinding and the film is handled with minimum tension, always running at its normal projection speed, film wear is virtually non-existent. Three-Deck Platters are most common in the industry. The third deck allows double-feature presentations when required, or acts as a "spare" platter for advance make-up of the next presentation. Film preparation is done using a separate Make-Up Table and can be completed even while the system is in normal operation. A single Make-Up table can be used with multiple Platters in a common projection booth. 42-inch (2 hrs 50 mins capacity), Five-Deck (for Single or Two Cinema operation) and 35/70mm versions of the Platter are also available.

All systems feature interchangeable plug-in Payout Assemblies (two each with three-deck systems). Two sizes of center rings are provided for increased versatility during make-up and normal operation.
